The Skincare Routine You Need to Follow

Applying your skincare products in the proper order ensures that your skin receives the full benefit of each product. Many of the skincare products have key ingredients we want the skin to absorb, but it’s a difficult task to penetrate the skin even if these products are formulated and perfectly applied. It’s a difficult task because the skin’s job is to keep things out, so if you don’t apply products in the correct order, your skin care regimen will not deliver best results. So, here’s the best order of skin care products to make sure you get the most out of them:

Every Morning: Cleanse - Wash your face with a gentle face cleaner designed for your skin type. You need to wash your face before slathering on your products, to have a clean, oil-grime-free skin for ingredients to properly absorb. Purvari’s Rose Petal Mist to help control oily skin, soothe, refresh, and give a natural glow to your skin. Serum - Essentially just shots of extremely concentrated nutrients, hydrators, and antioxidants that really pump-up your skin health as soon as you apply them. Moisturize - A moisturizer not only infuses your skin with hydration, but also helps trap in all the products underneath it to make the ingredients even more effective. SPF - Sunscreen is there to protect your face and act as armor against the outside world.

Every Evening: repeat the morning routine except the last step, SPF – Cleanse to remove makeup and dirt that has set on your face throughout the day. Use toner to prime your face, so it can better absorb ingredients overnight. Apply a night serum, they are usually denser and nutrient-rich concentrated. Night moisturizer hydrates your skin while you sleep. Switch the SPF for an eye cream, which helps constrict and tighten puffy undereye and eyelid skin. Consistency is key, the use of eye cream over time will keep the eyelid skin elastic and can improve against some fine lines or collagen loss.

Every Week: use a Face Mask once a week to help hydrate, remove excess oils, extract impurities, and help improve the appearance of your pores. There are a variety of face masks: for hydrating, to unclogged pores, to brighten uneven skin tone, to calm and nurture, amongst many others. Whichever you decide to use make sure you read the product label and pick the ones that are fragrance free, hypoallergenic, and free of dyes and parabens – to avoid putting harsh chemicals on your face. Exfoliate, proper exfoliation removes dead skin cells that are clogging pores. Exfoliating every week will leave your skin looking fresh and heathy.
